America has a perception problem on abortion. While polling shows a slim majority of Americans oppose overturning Roe v Wade, Americans overwhelmingly support the pro-life laws Roe is currently blocking.
That’s because 77% of Americans falsely think that overturning Roe v Wade would automatically make all abortions illegal.
This is a real problem. It means that many people who self-identify as “pro-choice” could easily be convinced to join the pro-life movement if they had better information.
It also means many pro-life advocates don’t understand what a post-Roe America would look like, leaving the pro-life movement poorly positioned to capitalize on the elimination of Roe.
Odds are, some of the 77% that have misconceptions about Roe are in your church.
That’s why Frontline Policy Council has been working tirelessly to put together educational information that will help us make abortion unthinkable in America.
We are proud of our pro-life partners in Georgia, such as the Georgia Baptist Public Affairs Ministry.
We recorded a podcast with Mike Griffin at the Georgia Baptist headquarters recently. This podcast is only about 10 minutes long and is packed with great information about Roe, Georgia’s Heartbeat Bill, and what the Dobbs case would mean for your church. (it was recorded before the Dobbs decision was announced)
You can listen to the podcast “What’s Next: A Discussion for the Pro-Life Movement” HERE, or you can find us through Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
For all of the pastors and ministry leaders in our Frontline Church Leadership Coalition, we also sent an email with a PDF that provides information and talking points regarding Roe, Dobbs, and Georgia’s Heartbeat Law. We hope this will be a valuable resource as you work to shepherd your church regarding Scripture’s teaching on life.
In addition to that PDF, I included a special prayer bulletin with information about Dobbs and how your church can be praying in this pivotal moment.
At Frontline we are firm believers in the power of prayer, and encouraging Christians to talk to God about their civic engagement is crucial in creating a mindset of submitting all areas of life to God’s will.
Please feel free to share this information with other pastors or ministry leaders. It’s crucial that we reach as many churches as possible.
If you aren’t already a member of the Frontline Church Leadership Coalition and would like to receive helpful information like this in the future, pastors and church leaders can join HERE FOR FREE.
With this network of churches, we hope to educate, equip, and empower. We hope to transform our state and our nation through the best means that God has given us – His Word. When we understand the issues of our time and are able to faithfully and rightly apply God’s Word to ALL areas of life for His people, hearts and minds will change.
We are so excited about this initiative, and we hope we can count you in try to strengthen the local church. If we can do so, we know that our state will never be the same.
