Congressional District 7 has been redrawn and the numbers skew heavy left – we cannot deny that reality. What we can do, however, is run a bold, conservative campaign that gives voters a real choice – putting our issues front and center and letting them decide whether they want a radical, woke agenda or one that puts family values first.
I trust Mark Gonsalves to provide a clear, bold, and conservative contrast to radical, liberal Lucy McBath, and I am proud to announce our endorsement of his candidacy for Congress.
Mark is a highly successful businessman who knows how to get the job done. He sees complex problems, and he fixes them. And we know one thing for sure: our country is a complex problem.
Beyond bringing his business expertise, Mark is an unafraid conservative. There will be a push to drive this race to the center and encourage moderation. Mark Gonsalves will resist such a push.
As we enter a post-Roe world, we need candidates that will emphasize their stance for life, and Mark Gonsalves will do just that.
We need candidates who will put education reform front-and-center, and Mark Gonsalves will do just that.
On every issue, I trust Mark to articulate a strong, conservative approach in the campaign, and I know he will not back down once he’s in Congress.
Now, I want to be clear, I have had the privilege of speaking with Mark’s opponent, Michael Corbin, in this race. Michael is a man of faith, and sincere conviction. He’s a good man, a strong candidate, and he’d make a great member of Congress. You will not see us say a negative word about him, and I’d encourage every voter to consider both candidates before making up their mind.
Our endorsement of Mark Gonsalves today comes, not because he’s the only candidate in the race who shares our values and that we could be proud to support. This endorsement is given because he gives us the most confidence as the most conservative candidate with the strongest commitment to articulating those principles in a clear and convincing way.
We expect this campaign to be low turnout, and every vote will make a difference. Please make sure to show up, make your voice heard, and choose between the two Christian, conservative candidates you believe will make the best champion for our values. At the end of the day, you cannot go wrong, but, at the end of the day, I believe you will be just as excited about Mark Gonsalves as we are.
