Houston Gaines might be one of the youngest legislators under the Gold Dome, but I cannot think of anyone who has had more success passing legislation than him. He’s put in the work, built the relationships, and been diligent in his approach.

Representing a “swing district,” Houston has been put in some high pressure situations. Those with radical agendas have threatened him and tried to get him to “fold.” Many in the same situation would have done so, but not Houston Gaines. He has taken the tough votes, stood his ground, and done the right thing – time and again and without flinching. At the same time, Houston has built an even broader support base because of his ability to earn the respect of those who disagree with him and his effective track record. Quite simply, he’s a winner!
