Clarence Thomas is a man of extraordinary accomplishment, the Supreme Court’s longest serving justice, and a stellar constitutional scholar – interpreting the Constitution as the Founders authored it rather than imposing activism or bias.
Few Georgians have lived a life of such noteworthy distinction and few are so worthy of celebration. That’s why we are asking you to TAKE ACTION TODAY to tell the Georgia General Assembly that it is time to honor Clarence Thomas with a statue on the State Capitol grounds.
State Senator Jason Anavitarte has written a bill to accomplish this – recognizing this great Georgian with a statue. However, leftists who oppose Clarence Thomas’ worldview and jurisprudence want to deny him his rightful recognition. One liberal legislator even said she preferred Confederate monuments to honoring this black man who has achieved so much. That’s insanity! THAT’S how much they are willing to let their hatred of conservative jurisprudence get in the way of recognizing accomplished Georgians.
ACT NOW! TELL YOUR LEGISLATOR THAT CLARENCE THOMAS DESERVES A STATUE!
Born in Pin Point, Georgia, he grew up poor in and around Savannah, where he was raised by his grandparents. While working in the federal government early in his career, Thomas developed a deep love of our nation’s founding principles, embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. He rose out of poverty by hard work, determination, and vision, and is now one of the most respected Justices in Supreme Court history.
Thomas’ rigorous application of the originalism has led him to be dubbed as the “Supreme Court’s Conservative Beacon.” Not only is he the most prolific writer on the court today, he is unafraid to maintain his principles in the face of opposition, having written the dissenting opinion in an 8–1 case 27 times.
Clarence Thomas has striven nobly for decades to uphold the rule of law consistent with the Constitution, and should upheld as a shining example of the American Dream, dedication, and service to our country.
